CarePartners Foundation is in need of a part time to full time Events Coordinator to manage and coordinate the event activities of a large diverse Foundation.
Has responsibility for the planning and coordination of events for CarePartners Foundation. Works with a team of diverse staff in identifying fund raising opportunities ensuring events are efficiently planned and carried out to the satisfaction of Foundation management. Oversees the marketing, sponsorship, solicitation and all other aspects of the event. Promotes the work of the Foundation and represents the Foundation at outside events and takes advantage of marketing opportunities. Will report to the CEO of the Foundation and work with the development committee of the board.
Education, skills and experience: • College degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning or related field strongly preferred. • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Ability to work independently on high profile assignments; exercise independent judgment and discretion; and make good decisions. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn and use Foundation-specific software programs in the execution of job functions. • Minimum 2-4 years of Event Planning/Coordinating, preferably in an non-profit setting.
